1bun1cho asked: Seafood or chicken?
chicken
theonlylola asked: What is one thing you absolutely couldn't live without and why?
meat! I respect every vegetarian on this planet; and I think they’re amazing for what they do, but I am weak and when I don’t eat meat I feel like I didn’t eat at all. Thank God we have strong people on earth that actually can refuse eating meat!
jaydoublea asked: Zedd you're one of the realest producers out there because i always see you respond to your fans on here :)
that’s how I roll!
dj3nvy asked: Is there any chance I can get the stems to spectrum once it comes out/ASAP?
there’s always a chance. It’s just a very slim chance hah
okayfinethen2 asked: I know you've probably been asked this before since everyone asks a ton of production questions, but where do you find your samples / where do you think is the best source of samples?
in my opinion there is no best source of samples. every sample-pack will contain about 99% very cheap and badsounding samples, but there’s always the 1% that sounds nice and interesting and those you have to find! they can be anywhere from HipHop sample-packs to YouTube videos! ;)
djjoefresh asked: Hey Zedd, I was wondering how you make the choir singing sound in Spectrum and Dovregubben.
I use a time-machine to go back to 1960- then I mic a gospelchoir and record them singing “ahhhhhh!!!” on a strip of bacon. then I take the time-machine back to 2012, put the strip of bacon IN my macbook … and then … VOILA!!!! “AHHH!”
cautionfriday asked: I've always wanted to know, what comes first the lyrics to a song or the beats to the song? Like in your song Spectrum you have Matt did he or you come up with the lyrics first then you'll worked around them to make the beat? Or which way is better to do? xoxo
song always comes first- then melody and lyrics! :)
